Hello from twigs&apples.
Some of you may know us already and some won’t, so here’s a quick bit about who we are and what we get up to. We already have a blogspot, but tumblr is a super platform so we’ll be archiving issues here too and also reporting on new releases (and anything else we get up to).

about us:
Twigs & Apples is a zine collective / publishing project based in the North West of England / Preston with a core collective of four members (SS, SF, SR & BR) and a long list of contributors. We operate an open contribution policy to encourage and support creativity from as many different people/disciplines as possible; and aim to provide an outlet free from censorship or commercial pressures - in a tactile, physical format.
As a result of our open contribution policies our title zine is pretty eclectic, often covering:
art, illustration, photography, reviews, rants, articles, writing, music, film, poetry, philosophy, DIY & craft, sports, travel, veganism, recipes, anarchism, politics, environmentalism, gardening & more.
We started up in 2009 and have released nine publications so far, including five title zines and four special/solo issues. Our latest zine ‘twigs & apples issue 5’ was released in late summer/autumn 2011.
